Our journey began deep in the labs, with our brightest scientists asking fundamental questions. The technical problem definition was clear: how do we pack Tide’s cleaning power into a compact format? We looked at traditional detergents, which have their merits, but also carry a "load" of their own.
The breakthrough technology that emerged is Tide evo – a true marvel of science. Imagine taking the essence of powerful cleaning ingredients and spinning them into tens of thousands of miniscule fibers. These fibers are woven into a 100% concentrated, waterless tile with six cleaning layers. The fiber design is engineered in a way that creates channels allowing water to quickly enter the tile upon contact, leading to instant activation of cleaning power and quick dissolution. We stripped away all the unnecessary stuff – no extra water, no fillers– leaving you with a clean that feels like magic.
Conscious Design
This revolutionary composition allowed us to reimagine the packaging itself. Tide evo eliminates the need for heavy plastic jugs or bulky, water-filled bottles. Without unnecessary fillers and extra water, the tiles can be put into a Forest Stewardship Council™ certified paperboard packaging. Tide evo delivers a lightweight, highly compact dose. Because it’s lighter and more compact to transport than liquid detergents, it requires less storage space and can reduce transportation weight per wash load and emissions.
